Is your New Years resolution to have better classroom management?
Get 2014 off to a great start using classroom rules and the Stop and Think tool. If you haven't reviewed your classroom rules since the beginning of the school year, it's time to review them.
If a student has done something that is seriously disruptive, disrespectful or dangerous, they need to stop and think about what they've done. If you have a serious incident, have the child come to a time out space and have them fill out the Stop and Think form. First graders may have difficulty with writing, but they could draw a picture that shows what they did.
